Tweet A Prayer

Thanks for giving Tweet A Prayer a look. It is an automated Twitter bot that accepts prayer requests and sends them out to people that follow @TweetAPrayer on twitter. Tweet A Prayer uses a protected feed so that only people that are subscribed to Tweet A Prayer can post to it, so if you follow @TweetAPrayer I currently need to manually approve the follow requests. Tweet A Prayer is a work in progress so any feedback or suggestions are welcome.

How to use Tweet A Prayer

  1. Send a direct message to @TweetAPrayer with the prayer request
  2. TweetAPrayer then processes the request and posts the prayer to the feed anonymously
  3. When you see a prayer request go past, take a minute out to pray for the person making the request
  4. If you want to send a word of encouragement back to the person who requested the prayer use the reply feature of your Twitter client (this is essential) to reply to the Tweet from @TweetAPrayer and your message will be processed and direct messaged back to the original sender

Obviously some record of what is sent is kept by the Bot itself to allow for the reply mechanism to work. This information is logged for 14 days currently and then discarded. This is for the purposes of dealing with anybody posting problematic content and is not a mechanism for working out what people are posting.
